Account Executive (Hudson Valley)

• Research viable targets and capture potential market share in CRM.
• Conduct cold outreach through in-person meetings, phone calls, and email campaigns to generate prospects and build the sales pipeline.
• Qualify prospects and leads to determine alignment with the ideal customer profile.
• Manage opportunities throughout the sales cycle from prospecting through close.
• Provide consultative services to existing and prospective customers regarding RMS products and services.
• Maintain all activities within CRM (Salesforce) and provide detailed reporting on activity, pipeline health, and sales performance.
• Participate confidently in proposal preparation and deliver professional product presentations through webinars and face-to-face meetings.
• Represent RMS at corporate events and sales meetings independently or collaboratively with colleagues.
• Manage and grow existing business within the assigned territory.
• Meet individual performance goals while contributing to overall sales and profitability objectives.
• Interact professionally with prospective customers through phone, email, video conferencing, webinars, and in-person meetings to identify business needs and establish positive relationships.
• Collaborate closely with the sales team and maintain strong working relationships across all departments.
• Provide accurate and timely information to project managers, delivery teams, and senior management.
• Utilize social media platforms such as LinkedIn to support prospecting and business development efforts.
• Develop and maintain a strong understanding of company products and services to support the sales process.
• Adhere to company policies, procedures, culture, and business ethics standards.

Education:

Bachelor’s Degree or demonstrated experience in a similar role.

Skills:

• Understanding of government contracts at the local, state, and federal levels.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a positive attitude.
• Desire for growth and advancement within a sales organization.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, databases, and PowerPoint, including strong business presentation skills.
• Proficiency in general computer applications and technology tools.
• Experience working with a CRM platform, preferably Salesforce.
• Ability to effectively communicate and build relationships with customers, colleagues, and vendors.

Experience:

3–5 years of experience in prospecting and lead generation with demonstrated sales achievement.

Experience within the following industries is preferred:

• State agencies
• Public education
