RENU Milburn (RM) is inviting sales, administrative, and compliance professionals with a desire to join a growth organization to share why they would be a good fit for its new Government Sales and Contracts Coordinator role. We are currently seeking an experienced Government Sales and Contracts Coordinator for our Copiague, NY location. The role will focus on generating sales opportunities, researching new avenues of growth, maintaining, and enhancing the company’s Government contracts, working across departments to utilize contracts where applicable, and representing the company’s interests with Government Agencies and third-party consultants. The role of Government Sales and Contracts Coordinator will target Government construction opportunities utilizing the company’s Government contracts. This is a heavy research and hunter role engaging Federal Buildings, VA Housing and Facilities, Housing Authorities, Defense Contractors, Post Office, and other Federal Agencies and Facilities. This candidate will handle a national territory with an emphasis on the Northeast, Mid-Atlantic, and New England regions.  The primary focus of the role is to work with internal departments and Sales teams to drive qualified opportunities to generate new avenues of growth for the company.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Research and Compliance
    • Research viable targets and capture potential market share in CRM.
    • Ensure that contracts remain up-to-date and current.
    • Engage with Government Agencies and GSA support mechanisms to stay current with best practices.
    • Qualify prospects and leads to determine if they fit the ideal customer profile.
    • Manage a pipeline of opportunities through the sales cycle from prospect to sale.
    • Provide consultative services to existing and prospective customers on RMS and its products and services.
  • Sales Management
    • Manage all activities inside of CRM (Salesforce) and provide detailed reporting on activities, pipeline health, and sales.
    • Confidently participate in the preparation of proposals and the presentation of professional product demonstrations, via webinars or face-to-face meetings.
    • Represent RMS at corporate events or sales meetings independently or with colleagues.
    • Meet personal targets and work towards RMS’s sales goals and profitability.
  • Communication
    • Demonstrates ability to interact professionally with potential customers via phone, email, telephone conferencing, webinars, and face-to-face, to discover their business needs and develop a positive business relationship.
    • Act as a conduit between departments internally to utilize Government contracts across divisions.
    • Educate teams on how to utilize and maximize opportunities generated with Government contracts.
    • Work closely within the sales team and develop cooperative working relationships with all company colleagues.
    • Provide accurate and timely information as required to project managers, the delivery team, and senior management.
    • Proficient in the use of social media tools such as LinkedIn.
    • Adhere to company policies, procedures culture, and business ethics.
  • Product Knowledge
    • Develop a strong knowledge of RMS’s products and services to facilitate the sales process.
Qualifications:
  • 1-3 years of experience in prospecting and lead generation with demonstrated sales experience, experience working with sales teams, or equivalent.
  • 13 years of experience in a compliance-driven role or experience working with compliance professionals.
  • Demonstrable experience in coordinating and organizing complicated initiatives to the benefit of the organization.
  • Ideal candidate will have experience within the following industries: municipalities, federal, state, and other local government agencies.
  • Understanding of government contracts at the local, state, and federal levels.
  • Strong communication skills, written and verbal.
  • Problem-solving skills and positive attitude.
  • Desire to move up within a sales organization.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Database, and PowerPoint.
  • Have excellent business presentation skills.
  • Proficiency in basic computer skills and applications.
  • Experience working with a CRM, preferably Salesforce.
  • The ability to effectively communicate with customers, colleagues, and vendors.
