Responsible for direct management of vendor relations, negotiations, supply planning, Supply Chain process excellence, vendor onboarding, rebate, and discount programs.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Develops and nurtures highly functioning relationships with strategic partners
  • Collaborates with suppliers and explores opportunities for mutual growth and performance improvement
  • Develops tailored strategies for key suppliers to maximize savings, mitigate cost increases, and optimize supply levels
  • Manages and negotiates vendor payment terms, return policies, rebates, discounts, lead times, stocking programs, and freight agreements
  • Collaborate with inter-departments and maintains a rolling 90-day supply forecast
  • Oversees vendor onboarding, vendor performance, issuing of vendor scorecards, and performs site visits
  • Collaborates with executive management, inventory control, and sourcing to implement appropriate stocking programs in accordance to companies dynamic consumption
  • Collaborates with all Supply Chain team leaders to ensure all Supply Chain procedures and processes are documented, enforced, and maintained
  • Coordinates and attends vendor engagement events, product training, lunch and learns, and drives executive participation with key partners
  • Audits all vendor incentive programs to ensure adequate payout and maximized savings
  • Establishes adequate vendor contingency programs and mitigates lead-time constraints
  • Prepares monthly and quarterly KPIs and other reports for management review
  • Proactively analyzes vendor spending trends and material consumption
  • Drives continuous process excellence and efficiencies throughout Supply Chain
  • Maintains adequate documentation of procedures, workflows, vendor agreements, and contact information
  • Serves as a backup to respective Supply Chain Colleagues
  • Provides additional support to executive management as requested
Qualifications:

Education & Experience 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, or Equivalent
  • Minimum of 6 years experience in Supply Chain, Operations, and Vendor Relations
  • Experience working in project-based business or commercial construction
  • APICS, ISM, and Six Sigma Certification a plus

 

Skills

  • Strong negotiation skills, must have the capability to manage supplier agreements and negotiations
  • Substantial time and project management skills
  • Must have strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with vendors and colleagues
  • Must be proficient in MS Office, Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams, Visio, Etc.
  • Experienced in MS PowerBi or equivalent, a plus
  • Proficient in forecasting, stock modeling, and vendor performance tracking
  • Must be engaging and proactive, with a strong sense of urgency
