As a key member of the procurement team, the incumbent will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and managing relationships with suppliers to ensure a seamless and cost-effective supply chain. The role requires a blend of negotiation skills, door industry knowledge, and collaboration with internal teams to enhance our overall procurement strategy and support the company’s growth. Primary Responsibilities:
  • Source and procure quality materials for door installation, ensuring cost-effectiveness and timely delivery
  • Collaborate with suppliers to negotiate favorable terms, prices, and payment conditions
  • Evaluate supplier performance, conduct regular audits, and address any issues to maintain a reliable supply chain
  • Stay informed about market trends, industry developments, and pricing fluctuations to make informed purchasing decisions
  • Work closely with internal teams, such as project management and warehouse staff, to optimize inventory levels and meet production schedules
  • Create and maintain accurate records of purchase orders, agreements, and supplier information
  • Monitor and manage inventory levels to prevent shortages and excess stock, implementing efficient inventory control measures
  • Seek opportunities for cost reduction without compromising product quality
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve overall operational efficiency and contribute to the company’s success
  • Monitor material needs submitted by Project Managers of Sunrise Division
  • Ensure approved projects submitted to order align with estimated values and remain under budget
  • Research products including part number validation and equivalents to compare costs or lead times
  • Coordinate with the warehouse on stock material availability and transfer associated costs in the accounting system
  • Prepare and issue purchase orders and enter commitments into the accounting system
  • Provide weekly reporting of order acknowledgments and ship dates
  • Enforce proper procedure for reporting discrepancies by submitting within the workflow website used by all divisions.
  • Review and resolve receiving discrepancies reported by the warehouse team, including contacting vendors for missing packing slips or missing/incorrect material
  • Review and resolve invoice discrepancies reported by the accounting team, including contacting vendors for invoice corrections or debit memos
  • Serve as purchasing backup for Renu’s other divisions
Qualifications:

Education & Experience 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field such as Business, Supply Chain Management, Construction Management, or a related discipline preferred
  • Proven experience as a Purchasing Agent or in a similar role within the door industry preferred
  • Practical experience in negotiating contracts, terms, and prices with suppliers
  • Experience in establishing and maintaining relationships with vendors, ensuring reliability and quality of supplies
  • Experience in managing budgets and costs associated with procurement activities
