Tool & Equipment Manager

We are currently seeking a full-time Tool & Equipment Manager with exceptional organizational skills and extensive knowledge of power tools and commercial restoration equipment.  This role is responsible for performing highly diversified duties to install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain an inventory of over 1,000 pieces of company-owned construction and restoration tools/equipment.

Primary Responsibilities:

Equipment and Maintenance:

  • Oversee the proper maintenance, inspection, and repair of all company-owned equipment in a timely manner.
  • Ensure that all tools and equipment are in working order and meet safety and regulatory requirements as disclosed in the equipment/tool’s user manual.

Inventory Management

  • Maintain accurate records daily of all equipment in the Inventory Management software.
  • Properly document and label all new tools and equipment.
  • Manage minimum/maximum inventory levels of tools and equipment. Order new equipment as necessary.
  • Establish a formalized sign-in/out process for all tools/equipment (for personnel or jobs).
  • Consistently monitor the status of tools/equipment on loan to estimate return times.

Preventative Maintenance:

  • Develop a system to ensure that all repairs and preventive maintenance are scheduled and executed by the in-house repair team(s).
  • Demonstrate respect for company-owned tools/equipment by implementing proper cleaning, storage, distribution, and collection processes.
Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • 5 years’ experience maintaining and repairing power tools/equipment (core drills, jackhammers, commercial sanding, generators, pumps, pneumatic/electric tools, dehumidifiers, etc.)
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail
  • Basic computer navigation (Microsoft Office, Outlook) with a demonstrated ability to learn additional software/programs
  • Preference will be given for individuals with demonstrated experience maintaining tools/equipment in the construction industry

Physical Requirements:

  • This job is an active position and at times may require the individual to be on their feet for long periods of time. This job will require the individual to occasionally bend, kneel, and/or climb. The individual must have the ability to lift, carry, or push/pull materials of up to 50 lbs., and occasionally heavier.

License/Certification:

  • Driver’s License
