RENU and Sunrise Door Solutions worked on North Babylon School District’s Phase 3A, which was a district wide door replacement project. A total of 610 doors were replaced throughout the district. Doors were retrofitted for new glass, transom panels and hardware. Wood doors, hollow metal doors and CurrieStain doors were installed. These doors are Armored One Fire Rated. They began the installation in February and completed it by early October. The doors were upgraded with high-tech features to bolster security, including an added electric entry safety component. To unlock the door a key card or keyscan is needed. A new wireless electronic door handle has a lock-set that can be switched remotely to lockdown mode in the case of an emergency.
