Several well-known healthcare facilities on Long Island required work from RENU after a severe weather event in recent months that caused flood damage. The effects called for the rip-out and reinstalling of walls 4 feet up from the floor due to water and potential mold issues. Experts arrived on the scene with dehumidifiers and fans for urgent mitigation and demolition immediately following. To avoid future water issues in such an essential building, RENU suggested the use of AZEK Trim which is more typically known to be used outside but offers superior protection against elements, stains, scratches, mold, mildew, and moisture damage with no cupping, rotting, or splitting and easily accepts paint. To provide a visually appealing and effective solution for a seamless transition between old and new walls RENU’s experts suggested the use of AZEK trim as wainscoting. This building has seen water damage numerous times and needed a unique recommendation. A crash rail was also installed
that mounts horizontally on the wall providing protection in hallways, from passing carts, equipment, wheelchairs, and stretchers. This healthcare facility reconstruction also required new floors. Milburn Flooring’s Quick Ship program allowed for easy access to carpet tiles, LVT, and VCT flooring material that was stocked and ready for immediate installation.
